About

Joanna Hotalen joined Kantaras Law as an Associate Attorney in 2021, shortly after graduating from law school.

Starting her career in family law has given her a unique perspective on the profession. Early on, she recognized that clients are often going through one of the hardest times in their lives. This perspective ignites Joanna’s drive to hone her legal skills and help achieve the best possible outcomes for clients and their children.

Joanna attended the University of South Florida where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. Joanna earned her Juris Doctor from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law.

While in law school, she was an Associate Editor for the Child and Family Law Journal and was also an intern for the Honorable David E. Silverman of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit.

Joanna lives in Tarpon Springs and enjoys spending time with friends and family and doing activities with her working line German Shepherd, Duchess.
