Janis Olkowicz was born and raised in New York City. She received her undergraduate degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida in 2020. There, she was a member of the Burnett Honors College, the University Moot Court Team, and Phi Alpha Delta’s Mock Trial Team. In addition, she was a published writer for her undergraduate Law Review and was awarded “Most Outstanding Law Journal Student” for her attention to detail and editing skills.

In 2023, Janis received her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law where she continued to write and edit for the Law Review Journal. She was also awarded the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award for her time and dedication to assisting veterans appeal VA benefit denials at Stetson’s Veterans Advocacy Clinic.
