Konstantinos Dean Kantaras prides himself in being one of only 271 attorneys in Florida who is Board Certified in Marital and Family Law. Understanding that preparation is the key to the excellent practice of family law, Dean provides each individual case detailed analysis and views every case for all of the strengths and weaknesses in order to afford his clients the very best advocacy possible.

Having received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida in 1989, Dean knew that his true passion resided in the law. Dean achieved his lifelong goal of becoming a lawyer in 1992, when he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law. After graduation, Dean returned to Florida to begin his practice of law. At the time, Dean did not know that working in family law would be his chosen profession. However, after having been given the opportunity to practice this area as a young attorney, he knew that there was no other practice of law where he could utilize his courtroom talents and also handle complex matters related to family law.

Dean Kantaras, P.A. has three office locations, one in Palm Harbor, one in Largo, and another in Tampa, Florida; however Dean Kantaras, P.A. handles various marital and family law all over the State of Florida.

Dean is admitted to the Florida Bar, the United States District Court - Middle District of Florida, United States Court of Appeals - Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. In Dean’s 29 years of practice, he has achieved an AV Preeminent rating with Martindale Hubble for his legal skills and professional ethics; he has been selected as a Florida Super Lawyer, and is a published author of a Marital and Family Law article in Tampa Bay Magazine. Dean has also authored the chapter “Adapting to New Practices and Trends in Florida Family Law” in the 2012 Edition of “Strategies for Family Law in Florida”. Dean also completed the University of South Florida’s Family Mediation training and is now a Board-Certified Family Law Mediator.

He has presented in the NBI “Divorce Law: Common Mistakes in Dividing Assets” Seminar in Jacksonville, Florida in September of 2015 and presented the topic: “Failure to Consider Current and Future Income and Expenses”. He also presented in the NBI “Advanced Family Law” Seminar in Tampa, Florida in December of 2015, “Non-Traditional Family Law Structures and Paternity Disputes”.

Dean is fluent in both English and Greek.
